What do i do when the top ball of my belly button starts sinking into my skin where it is half covered?
It is a bar ring and when I had in in a few days the top ball seem to be sinking into my belly and the ball was half covered.

Hi – i had the same problem with mine, looked like the top ball was actually sinking into my skin. Frightened me so i went and purchased a longer length bar. I purchased a 14mm length, boiled some water and put the new bar in for 5 minutes, i then soaked the new bar in hibi scrub (solution that hospitals use) and washed my piercing with hibi scrub (cleaned it to within an itch of its life i think!), make sure that you wash your hands though. I then changed the bar, left it an hour and soaked it in sea salt solution. The next day i lifted the bar up slightly and put a little bit of surgical tape around either side, top and bottom. I did the above for 3/4 days. I havent put any tape on it for 3 days now and it is loads and loads better. Isnt uncomfortable anymore and the ball is not sinking. Be careful and clean and i think it will be find. It is three weeks on Saturday since i had mine done and it is finally starting to look better…..good luck!!
